Hello. Bavaria 37 Cruiser, built in 2015, about 2,000 SM on an inland lake. The rudder position sensor is acting up. On the Garmin GHC20, the rudder angle display keeps jumping back and forth. The autopilot is practically unusable. In my case, the rudder angle sensor isn’t a separate component but is built into the Stefa Linear Drive (LD12). As a solution, without removing the linear drive, is it possible to install an external rudder angle sensor (Garmin GRF10) and connect it to the GHP12 ECU? Has anyone done this before? On which side of the rudder quadrant was it installed? Was the GRF10 easily configurable in the GHC20’s dealer mode? Thanks for your input!
