Super! That's exactly how it is, the Lewmar hatches are now pharmacy prices and still have a gap. At the bottom, but it leaks just as much. The Plexiglas panes are already heavily marbled on my boat, but that's more of a cosmetic issue. LG SY Apollonia www.asyc.at

The seal usually becomes porous in the outer gaps and absorbs water through the capillary effect, which then runs inside the frame. It then collects where the latches hook in on the inside and you then replace the O-ring seals of the latch or the window seals themselves, but this is of no use.
Remedy: Scrape out the gaps, mask them, seal with black Sikaflex, allow to dry AND (or) mask with aluminum tape from the outside, whereby you should still insert 2-3mm on the inside so that a capillary effect does not occur there again. I did this for all 11 side hatches (2 gaps each). Holds, is tight!

Excellent value for money
Dinghies don't last very long in the Mediterranean. After just a few years, signs of deterioration appear. I've had expensive dinghies with keels that were scrap after five years if you don't immediately put them away or cover them. (It even says in the manual to protect them from sun and UV radiation.)
But it doesn't matter; at that price, I just buy a new one every few years!
I can add more about the handling characteristics of the Torqeedo next season!

Looks great, ultra-lightweight, good handling
I don't have much experience with it yet, but I'll be using it next season.
My first impression is very positive: ultra-quiet and easy to handle. The outboard itself, without the battery, is super light, and the battery, at 6 kg, is no heavier than a jerrycan. I sold my old outboard; it was too heavy, too cumbersome, and there was always the risk of my passengers bruising their ribs when starting it ;-)
Therefore, a smaller dinghy is sufficient, and the capacity and power are certainly more than enough to get from the anchorage to the beach or into the fishing harbor.
The only downside is that the locking mechanism (for horizontal positioning) is a bit fiddly; you have to grab the notches and give it a little nudge....
