Over the years, we've seen the original engine cover break three times on our KAD42. Each time, the engine compartment flooded, but luckily we have two engines, so nothing worse happened. The last time, the original cover completely blew off its mounting after passing over a wave. While searching for something more durable, I came across this product, which has now been serving its purpose on our boat for a good two years. Not only will the cover never break again, but you can also see the dirt and water flow directly through it. The cover is perfect. I highly recommend this upgrade to every boat owner.

I bought this product for my new Garmin plotter. After an unsuccessful installation, SVB informed me that only "Garmin Navionics" is compatible with Garmin plotters, and this one is not. Exchanges are not possible. I now have to buy the same chart again.
