Hi Mathias. I completely agree with your point. It’s clearly an area for improvement in this engine. If you look at the main photo of this engine at the top of this page, you’ll see a vertical tube running from the intake manifold to the top of the engine. This photo is certainly not an original from Volvo—I don’t know where they found it—but it shows exactly what you want to do to your engine to make draining the oil easier. Volvo could easily do the same thing on an industrial scale. I suppose that if it isn’t tightened properly, it could lead to oil leaks in that area. Best regards

It's difficult to set a course, but once established, it's reasonably stable. It's best to use an 8mm bungee cord.

You can't find anything for that price. If it breaks, you just buy another one, like I did. There are better ones, and they're much more expensive.
