I now use this varnish on all the exterior wooden parts of my classic car: the cockpit, seating areas, companionway bulkhead, gunwales, etc., because regular boat varnish fades after just two seasons and offers little resistance to scratches and other mechanical influences. However, heavily used surfaces (edges, treads) do have to be sanded and repainted every year. That's acceptable.

A double coat after a new primer application produced a visibly good result – even after two seasons (no re-application after the first year, only a superficial cleaning with clean water), there's practically no growth, and it's clean after blasting with water after the crane removal. Once this year (hopefully the 2.5 L can will be enough). I would recommend it.

The recovery loop is a good and practical solution and fulfills the requirements of a recovery device on board. Easy assembly and removal after the trip – preserves the material and doesn't let it slowly deteriorate outside. The question is whether the Velcro loops and fasteners will hold and stay in place when the line is under heavy tension. Therefore, it cannot be compared to a fixed reel and old-style recovery loop.

The glove is size L - my normal size - too small. It must be XL. When taking the gloves off, it is practically inevitable that the loose inner lining will be pulled out from between the fingers and thumbs, especially if the fingers get wet because the gloves are very warm. This means that you pull the lining out and can't get it back in. You have to use a spoon handle or something similar to tuck each finger back in place one by one. Very annoying. Not suitable for quickly putting on and taking off when you need to operate a plotter or other menus. I bought the glove about 2 years ago and wore it this spring in cold weather on the Baltic Sea. Disappointing. Otherwise the glove is OK. Warm, good grip, good length with protection up to the wrist.
