Hi, just leave them in as they are—I drive without them working. I’ve been trying to unscrew them for 5 years now, using WD-40, a shaman, brute force, and gentle force—they’re completely seized! Just to be safe, I flush them every two years with concentrated citric acid to keep the channels clear. I have replacement anodes on hand, but the old ones are putting up a fierce fight.
