Hi Olaf D., I am facing the problem that the rudder system on my Nidelv 26 is extremely stiff. According to the previous owner, the built-in autopilot (RAYMARINE Smartpilot X5) is the cause of the sluggishness. My "research" so far suggests that the bearings of the rudder blade are the cause of the sluggishness. Here is my question/s: How smooth or stiff is your rudder system? Do you have any experience of maintaining the rudder blade bearings or have you even replaced them? Are there any drawings / dimensions of the bushings? I would be very grateful for any information.
