The alternator is supplying too high a voltage
My boat has two TAMD63P engines. The alternators are no longer regulating properly and are supplying 17 volts to the battery banks. As a first step, I replaced the voltage regulators, but that didn’t help. I bypassed the DC-DC converters installed between the alternators and the battery banks, but that didn’t make any difference either.
Does anyone have any ideas about what else I could check to pinpoint the source of the problem? Thanks.
