Transponder installed in my dive boat in 2022, the GPS antenna worked for a month then stopped working. Antenna replaced, which stopped working after a few months... A third antenna was delivered as a replacement (product still under warranty), this time it was no longer the original Icom antenna. It worked well for a year, and for the past two weeks it's been showing serious signs of weakness. It takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour before the GPS signal is found, the signal is lost very often... The problem is that connecting a GPS antenna from another brand is not possible. The connector is specific to Icom devices, so it's not possible to choose a different antenna unless you redo the connection yourself.
