The drum arrived with a big dent. The shipping box was fine so this must have happened in the factory. The arm which guides rope was missing and after being used 15 times the chrome on the drum started flaking off (parts I thought was supposed to be stainless!). I have emailed Lofrans many times over the course of 4 months (through svb) but Lofrans keep "forgetting to reply".. The difference between freefall and hard lock on the clutch is about 30 degrees which makes it somewhat annoying to use. I replaced a 15 year old Anchorlift and this was a huge downgrade. Because of their complete lack of customer service and the product being of such bad quality I will not buy anything from Lofrans again.
