Hi Rüdiger,
I also think the spur gear needs to be removed, but I haven't been able to loosen the screws because they're very tight. When I try to loosen the screws, the spur gear turns along with them.

Impeller Maintenance
Hi everyone,
I have a Yanmar 2 GM20 installed on my Sunbeam 27KS. Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to open the water pump housing to replace the impeller? Some of the housing bolts are hidden behind the impeller in such a way that I can’t reach them. I haven’t been able to remove the impeller.
