Poor material quality
I immediately returned these blocks because the manufacturer was clearly cutting corners. The bolts, and thus I suspect all the stainless steel parts, are made of A2 stainless steel instead of A4.
For use in saltwater, this can only be a temporary solution. Rust spots, even if only surface rust, are inevitable.
I can't understand how a manufacturer like Harken comes up with this idea. The savings per block can only be a few cents at best, so what's the point?
Two stars for the fast delivery. The block is too expensive for the quality of the material.
