Hello Alfred On our 282 (1988) the gas bottle is located in the forecastle. The gas line goes down to the starboard side to the gas stove in the port locker. Maybe it was set up like this on yours? Where is the gas bottle located on your boat? Do you have the Finkeel version? Where is your area? (Just out of curiosity;) ) Best regards from Lake Zurich Oli O
