I participated in the skipper training in Vlissingen and can recommend it to anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge and gain real experience. The training was very practical and covered many important topics: navigation, harbor maneuvers, MOB, weather, tides, radio, and much more. The area around the Westerschelde is ideal—there are lots of currents, traffic, and lighthouses—and you really learn something! In bad weather, you react responsibly without compromising safety. The instructor was competent, calm, and very experienced. A lot was explained, but also practical—not a classroom-style approach, but real training on board. Conclusion: If you don't just want a license but want to truly operate a boat, this is the right place for you.
