From what I can tell in the pictures, all you need to do is loosen the top screw to clean the strainer.

I placed a thick rubber mat in the anchor locker so the chain no longer lies in the water.

I have a Cruiser 37, built in 2015, and water—along with all the dirt—runs down from the top past the Pütting into this cavity, which is covered by a trim panel on the hull that can’t be loosened or removed.
To get the water and dirt out of there, I drilled an 8-hole in the center of the trim at the bottom, through which the water can now drain. I’m happy with it. If anyone has a problem with that, they should just leave it alone.
