The text recognition has struck again: A diesel engine is a self-igniting engine, not a "suicide engine" :-)

Hi Jürgen, it’s normal for this to happen within the first 20 seconds because the engine is still too cold, which leads to what’s known as fuel condensation loss—that is, the injected diesel cannot vaporize and instead settles as a liquid on the cylinder walls. Only once a certain temperature is reached does vaporization occur, and the diesel becomes ignitable. A diesel engine is a “self-igniter” and requires a high temperature in the compression chamber to function; the boiling point of diesel is well above that of gasoline. However, if the engine still fails to reach operating speed after a short warm-up phase, be sure to check the fuel system (hoses, filters, fuel pump) for possible leaks, air in the system, etc.
