There are two independent constant current drivers, one for each color. They are commanded through transistors from a microcontroller. To switch light color, you need to toggle the lamp switch twice, fast. Nice idea. I hacked the board - removed the controller and connected the transistors driving resistors to the input wires - each to one input. This way, when you supply the board with - the light is white, when you supply - the light is red. Of course, the boat wiring should support this.

There are 6 groups of 3 LEDs plus 2 separate LEDs. Total 20. They are driven through resistors, which is simple and similar to what LED bands use. At 12V, they draw about 3W. At 13V, they draw more than 4W. The light will fluctuate with voltage. They would need a voltage regulator, which might be overkill if you have many lights. A better idea - open the lamp, remove resistors and add a constant current driver. This is how LEDs should be driven. Lamp is nice, well made, a lot of light.
