Hi Arne, I'm new here, so I'm only writing now. Hope it is still relevant. I have installed a SD10 from Simrad with NAC-2 CPU, 9-axis compass and MFD from B&G in 2023. Only one rudder arm has to be welded to the rear jaw of the rudder quadrant. I am very happy with the solution. Runs flawlessly. You can't hear anything at the top. I sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar. Although there was a washing machine with a lot of turbulence and the autopilot was only stirring, it was a straight line KüG at the end. It's hard to believe that I put the engine, cables and cylinders in the lockers under the bench. The storage space is hardly usable anyway. regards Philipp

Hi Malte, I've just spent 2 weeks in the workshop with my 999 and changed the two O-rings, among other things. No big deal, but it can only be done in the boatyard. While you are in the boat, it has to be raised more than 1 meter above the ground. One O-ring is in the plastic bushing directly under the rudder quadrant, the other is up on deck where the rudder stock for the emergency tiller comes out. I also got some water in, but not much. In my case, however, the water did not come in through the O-ring, but via the space between the plastic bushing and the rudder coker. This goes above the waterline, so there should never be much water coming through. In any case, when I lowered the boat (by crane), I accidentally pushed out the plastic bushing. Panic at first, but then quite happy. I was then able to seal the bushing with Sikaflex and reinsert it relatively easily. Hope the information helps.
