Incomplete finishing.
Made in Sweden, Orbitrade. Both the metal mesh and the foam are cut diagonally, so unfiltered air leaks past the filter into the engine.
By cutting and gluing new foam to the metal mesh of the original Yanmar air filter, I would have had a working filter, and saved money.
