The adapter is made of solid stainless steel and can be safely passed on from sailor generation to sailor generation. I can not imagine anything from the sailor's everyday life, which could destroy him. However, the price is also a real "bite", 25 € for a piece of pipe with two threads, that's something. To the adapter you also need the actual holder, which beats the same again with € 20 to € 45 and you're at a really proud price only for the holder of the antenna. Unfortunately, you can not get around it, the original parts for the antenna are the same size or over it. Very annoying, considering that the antenna itself may cost only 1/3 more.
