Barton snatch blocks are easy to open and close. High quality, robust design with snap shackle.
Suitable for rope-Ø: 12 mm.


Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

  • Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
  • For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
  • Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
  • Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
  • Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
  • Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.

No user-friendly function
At this price one might expect there to be a spring mechanism that automatically locks into place. You have to move the locking tab back into the holding function with the push of your thumb without it holding itself. From the security behavior very bad. I haven't tested this in action yet, maybe there is a better-functioning part on the market.
