Snatch blocks are useful rigging tools to have on board are a reliable solution for temporary leads and line direction. This type of block allows for easy line insertion even under the highest loads without needing to reeve the bitter end of the line through. Can be used as barber hauler, downhauler, mast base block. Thanks to its high-quality material, the block can withstand heavy loads. Available in two versions: for 6 - 12 mm rope with 750 kg safe working load, for 10 - 16 mm rope with 1500 kg safe working load.
Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
