What is the maximum weight that this hook can support? I'm considering a different use than intended. I have a matching eye on the side of my boat and intend to use 2 of these hooks to support a swim or boarding ladder. Thanks

I would say the hook is too light for your application. I recently fitted a pair to secure a new helmsman's seat and for that they are perfect. I would have thought you could find something suitable in any chandlers

do i need to purchase the screws for this also and what is the code?

Hi Katherine, The product comes without screws, so you need to buy new ones if they got lost. I do not know the code for it, but check with caliper which size fits for your boat and then you can easily select on https://www.svb24.com/en/category/equipment-screws-rivets.html page.
