Product details

Foot block for BAVARIA yachts. Horizontal (low-profile) version with a sheave diameter of 60 mm.

Screws are not included in delivery.

Required: 2 × M6 pan head screws 1 × M6 countersunk head screw

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

  • Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
  • For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
  • Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
  • Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
  • Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    • Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
  • Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.

Care advice

  • Water does not damage kapok fibres, but machine washing can strain the fibres and cause them to break. For this reason, machine washing should be avoided.
  • Stains can be washed out by hand.
  • Kapok cushions must not be heated, so please only wash at lukewarm temperatures.
