„yes, I was a bit surprised. Our old hook had broken during a mooring maneuver, so we ordered the replacement hook. It did fit into the aluminum tube, but the way it was attached had obviously changed. So I had to drill a hole in the side to attach the hook with a screw. It seems to hold, but I'm a bit skeptical; if the load gets too big, the screw will tear out. The hook itself works perfectly and we wouldn't give it back and would definitely replace it if it were damaged, despite the price.“

„Since I sold my boat due to my age but am still attached to the water, I had a small houseboat built. I ordered two of the boat hooks mentioned above and am very happy with the quality. They seem very sturdy. The thickness of the handles (diameter) is a bit unusual, since I had the houseboat manufacturer attach clips under the roof overhangs at the front and rear to hold the boat hooks. I had a bit of trouble pressing the boat hooks into these clips. But I am still completely satisfied.“
