Why would I need a deck frame?

   Using a deck frame is an ideal way to stretch tarpaulins over your boat. It allows rainwater and snow to run off easily, protecting sensitive areas such as the deck and cockpit from dirt and water accumulation.
    
2. Improved tarp longetivity
   The even tension keeps the cover tarpaulin wrinkle-free and durable. As it does not lie directly on the surface, it is not subjected to any stress, the fabric remains intact and material wear is significantly reduced. At the same time, setting the cover and taking it off is quick and easy, saving you valuable time for maintaining your boat.
    
3. Easy installation and flexible adjustment
   The deck frame is attached to the boat's pulpit and pushpit rails, while the middle supports are either placed on the coaming or anchored on the railing bases, depending on the model. The telescopic elements can be adjusted in height and adapted to the shape of the hull. The modular support system can also be easily expanded with additional parts.

What are the advantages of using a deck frame system, compared with covering the boat directly?

Using a deck frame system to stretch your tarp over your vessel is a great way to ensure your boat looks well-maintained and keeps its value in the long term.

1. Effective weather protection and good ventilation
   The system prevents rainwater from collecting on the tarpaulin, keeping your boat dry and protecting it from damage caused by moisture or frost. The air circulation under the cover dissipates residual moisture and prevents mould. During the winter break, in addition to your ventilation below deck, you can use dehumidifiers to protect upholstery, wood and equipment.
    
2. Protection of sensitive surfaces
   As the tarpaulin lies well above the deck, there are no chafing or pressure marks. The frame distributes the tension evenly, protecting paintwork, gelcoat and teak parts. This keeps sensitive deck surfaces free from wear marks, which is particularly good during longer periods of downtime.
    
3. The right fit and size
   Made from seawater-resistant aluminium, they are robust and durable. Suitable for boats ranging from 7 to 15.5 metres in length, or as an overhang system for dimensions between 8 and 14 metres and widths from 3.3 to 4.2 metres. Our tip: Choose a deck frame that is slightly longer than the boat, with the top horizontal tube protruding a maximum of 30 centimetres at the bow and stern.
