NMEA2000 networks

In an NMEA2000 network, data is transmitted via a so-called Controller Area Network (CAN bus). The CAN bus system simplifies installation and transmits data to all devices in the network. Compared to the older NMEA0183 system, the NMEA2000 network is more reliable and much easier to install and extend.
