These beautiful ceiling lights from the Danish company CABIN emit soft light into the cabin. The ceiling lights has no ON/OFF switch. Delivery includes 12 Volt / 10 Watt G4 halogen lamp.
Note on selecting light sources
With halogen, xenon or simple tungsten filament bulbs, only part of the absorbed electrical energy is converted into light, the rest is lost in the form of unwanted heat, which means that these bulbs get very hot!
Lights are thus designed in such a way so that the hot bulbs cannot damage either the light housing or the base of the light bulb itself.
Light manufacturers indicate the maximum wattage of a bulb on the light. This is usually done with a label in the form of a sticker inside the light.
10 watt specification means that a maximum of only one 10 watt bulb may be used with the light, regardless of whether it is operated in a 12 or 24 volt on-board power supply.
For operation in a 24 V vehicle electrical system, please do not use the supplied 12 V bulb, but the optionally available 24 V bulb (13998).
The lights can, of course, also be used with LED light bulbs. Doing so means not having to worry about how hot the light source becomes, as LED bulbs convert most of the electrical energy into light. Because they have very low losses, they do not become so hot.
