If you often sail in cooler waters and want to fit your boat with a small volume cooler (up to 100 litres), then the series 55-01 ColdMachine set with Danfoss BD 35F air-cooled compressor and L-shaped evaporator is for you.

An entry-level set at a great price!

This starter-set is suitable for smaller refrigeration capacities and for use in cold waters, such as the North and Baltic Sea. Choosing the type of evaporator depends on where you want to install it, the cooling capacity and of course your individual demands. This set contains an L-shaped VD 01 evaporator. Power consumption 35 watt.

The L-evaporator has self-sealing valve couplings, a flexible connection pipe of about 2 m, a continuously adjustable thermostat, electrical supply approx. 3 m.

The units are delivered ready for connection to 12/24 volts and including a fully adjustable thermostat (for external installation with blue turning knob and LED indicator, white plastic housing).

Unsatisfactory customer service
The device has worked well for two years. Now, just before the end of the warranty, the device does not cool anymore. After the telephone description of the problem, the SVB employee answered with "throw away, buy new" Alternatively, I can remove the device, evaporator and compressor, and send to SVB. The associated expense must be legally accepted by me. A local refrigeration technician who can look at the system would not be included in the sales contract with me. I am interested in the article ColdMachine Series 55 Sets(https://www.svb24.com/en/dometic-coldmachine-series-55-sets.html) but instead of the evaporator that comes with the set is it possible to exchange for the VD-09 Box-Evaporator(https://www.svb24.com/en/dometic-vd-09-box-evaporator.html)? Are they compatible? and of course I paid the difference Thank you for your attention
