The SPIRIT 1.0 EVO electric outboard from ePropulsion delivers the equivalent to approx. 3 HP, making it perfect for dinghies, RIBs and sailboats up to 1.5 tons. It is operated remotely and features integrated recuperation, whereby the battery is recharged by the motor. Extremely low-maintenance.

Including remote control and on-board computer
The wireless remote control has an illuminated display and shows the charging status, remaining range and operating voltage in real time. Speed can also be adjusted via the throttle lever. The integrated lithium battery recharges directly in sunlight via the solar panel on the front of the remote control.

NOTE
Wireless connectivity is intended for short distances between the motor and the controller. For longer distances, a data cable (optionally available) should be used.




Quiet and environmentally friendly
A significant advantage electric outboards have over petrol motors is how much quieter they are. The maximum operating noise of the Spirit 1.0 is the equivalent dB level to a normal conversation. This makes it perfect for anglers, as the motor does not disturb fish.

Integrated recuperation technology
The EVO series features an integrated recuperation feature (energy recovery). This innovative technology means the outboard recharges the battery under sail. At a speed of 3-10 kn, the power regeneration system can recharge the battery. Above 10 knots, the motor switches to protection mode and charging power does not increase further.

Light and space-saving
The electric motor is easy to dismantle and can be easily stowed away. With a low total weight of only 19.2 kg, it's extremely portable. Specially designed carry bags are available separately and make transportation even easier. Thanks to plug-and-play, it couldn't be simpler to install and vice-versa.

Powerful battery
The integrated battery has an output of 1276 Wh and provides 50% more runtime at top speeds than comparable motors. Reach up to 35 km at lower speeds. The battery is also waterproof and floatable, so there's no need to worry if it falls into the water. Thanks to 48 V nominal voltage, the Spirit series can also be operated with external batteries. Matching chargers and solar modules are available separately. The display on the motor shows the charge level, remaining range and operating voltage in real time.

Choose the shaft length that is right for your boat to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of your Epropulsion electric outboard. Refer to the following table to quickly and easily determine the appropriate motor. You only need to know the transom height of your boat.

I purchased the epropulsion SPIRIT 1.0 EVO S Electric Outboard Motortiller long shaft to replace my 40-year-old 5HP two-stroke Evinrude for my FIRST CLASS 8 (BENETEAU) LOA7.75 m, Beam 2.49 m Displacement 1,406 kg httpssailboatdata.comsailboatfirst-class-8-beneteau

For years I could not justify the price of an electric engine. Electric engines are twice the amount of a new four-stroke gas engine (I was looking at the torqeedo). Surprisingly, the Evinrude still works (two pull starts), but I wouldn't say I liked the amount of white smoke fuel and oil dumped into our lake and killing our environment. So, I made the big jump to buy an electric outboard.

The one thing that got my attention about the SPIRIT 1.0 EVO S Electric Outboard Motor is that the engine could recharge the battery from my sail power, pulling the boat through the water and rotating the props on the outboard. Also, I could charge the battery with a solar panel. Theoretically, I would never have to plug in the battery again. This is a game-changer.

I have been thrilled with the epropulsion SPIRIT 1.0 EVO S Electric Outboard Motortiller long shaft. I have sailed several days without bringing the battery back to charge at home. With a wind of 8.7 kts. I was generating 10-11W of energy for the engine with the help of the Direct-Drive Hydrogeneration. This is truly amazing! I recommend buying this engine for every sailer with a boat under 8M. Also, the team at SVB has been amazing.
