GARMIN GPS24x HVS / NMEA0183 GPS Antenna

The 24x HVS dual frequency GPS antenna from Garmin delivers exceptionally precise, up-to-date position, speed and time data to your plotter via the NMEA0183 output. Receives the signal of several global navigation satellite systems, such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou. Multi-band GNSS provides precise location accuracy to within 1 metre. The magnetic heading sensor provides accuracy to within 3 degrees (regardless of speed), stabilizing charts and radar overlay. Fully sealed and robust plastic housing is guaranteed to withstand the most extreme maritime weather conditions.
10 Hz update rate with a baud rate of 38400 (can be converted to 4800 baud by installing the "Rate-Change" cable).

Important information
The Garmin 24xHVS NMEA0183 GPS antenna is factory set at a baud rate of 38,400. If you wish to connect the antenna to devices that only accept GPS data at a baud rate of 4800, the baud rate of the Garmin 24xHVS GPS antenna can be adjusted to 4800 as follows:

Connect the short "Rate-Change" cable to the orange "Accessory-ON" wire of the antenna. We recommend soldering the connection and then insulating it with heat shrink tubing. Then connect the cable to the "Accessory" connector or the NMEA0183 data negative/ground of your end device.
