Good device when the connection works
Installation was problem-free and everything ran immediately with our Garmin GPSmap 922. After 2 weeks, the first connection problems, which could be resolved by restarting the plotter. After 3 weeks the connection was completely gone. Unfortunately in the middle of the turn with wind and waves. Then climbed the mast in the harbor, removed the battery, waited 1 minute. Battery in, reconnected. Its working again. - classic! 2 days later it started again. Now I'll get the thing completely off the mast and play around with it for a week. Hope it calms down, because the device itself is great when the connection is stable. If it doesn't get better, I'll send it back.

Hi, I had a complete sailing pack from Nexus Silva with a wireless wind transducer. Since the original wind transducer no longer works, I would like to replace it with the new Garmin gWind Wireless 2 Transducer #93056#. Could anyone tell me if this one is still compatible with the Silva wind instrument / screen, or in case I buy this one, I also need to change the old instrument, which still works well and is connected with the other systems? Thank you.

Hi Bogdan, you will find a complete list with compatible devices on the Garmin website. the gWind wireless 2 only pairs with compatible GPSMAP chartplotters or GNX WInd Display. The gWind wireless 2 will not pair directly with a Silva Instrument.
