Ideal hemp rope mooring line for traditional vessels. For the rigging of traditional vessels, HEMPEX offers rope with the appearance, handling and behavior of hemp ropes, combined with the advantages of modern, synthetic fibre.

Features:
- 3-strand twisted rope, made from polypropylene staple fiber yarns
- Raw material PPTex® is produced using the bast fibre spinning process, giving it hemp-like properties
- THC free
- Suitable as mooring line. Low elongation allows to use as halyard or sheet
- Floatable, only partially suitable as anchor line
- High chemical and UV resistance
- Can also be used as handrails and for stair-rails
Number of mooring lines:
Ideally, a boat is secured with four mooring lines.
The stern line is attached to the stern of the boat to maintain a constant distance between the boat and the mooring. The bow line serves exactly the same purpose. The two springs prevent the boat from drifting forwards and backwards. The springs are particularly important in waters with high and low tides or in waters with strong currents.
Cleaning ropesPlease note the following when cleaning/washing polyamide and polypropylene ropes:
- Do not machine wash.
- Do not tumble dry the rope.
- Only wash ropes in a bathtub (only with lukewarm water) and then allow the ropes to drip dry (protected from UV radiation).
- Do not use regular detergent (you can find a possible alternative here).
