Recommended areas of use:
Cleaning ropes
Please note the following when cleaning/washing polyester and Dyneema ropes:
- Hand wash (SVB recommendation):
- Place the rope in a large bucket or bathtub and fill with warm water.
- Clean the rope thoroughly with your hands.
- Do not use regular detergent (you can find a possible alternative here).
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Then wash the rope with clean water.
- Washing machine:
- Only wash rope in a cotton bag.
- Wash at a maximum of 30 degrees.
- Do not use regular detergent (you can find a possible alternative here).
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not tumble dry the rope.
- After washing, allow the ropes to drip dry (protected from UV radiation).

Are these shakles OK to use for a mainsail and jib halyard

Dear Jay, this article is OK for a Jib halyard. For a mainsail, you have to exchange the Sheet Shackle with this one: -#11101#-. You are also able to contact us for a customized rigging: [email protected]. Yours SVB-team.

If required is it possible to remove the supplied shackle without creating a new eye?

Dear Sir , the shakle can be removed if you wish . Just open the shakle and loosen the splice a little with a blunt screwdriver or a marlin spike .
