Super effect costs money Unfortunately, this antifouling is in the upper price range. The effect is impressive, so I wouldn't switch back. I dilute the antifouling and 2.5 liters are enough for my 10 meters. At the end of the season, the effect is clearly visible, as my boat had no deposits in the underwater area. The self-polishing effect is also good, as the antifouling was well processed.

Micron 300 is an antifouling product effective against fouling organisms; slime, aquatic plants and animals. MICRON 300 is a powerful antifouling agent, suitable for professional and non-professional use on ships in fresh and salt-water. Thanks to its constant polishing effect, the system offers effective protection for up to two years and prevents the build-up of thick layers. The surface becomes smoother and smoother, which ensures reduced friction, while maintaining optimal biocide release, even during lay times. MICRON 300 can be applied up to 12 months before launching. Suitable for GRP, wood, steel and lead. Yield: 9 m²/l.

Processing instructions

Technical specifications

Processing temperature: +5° C to +35° C
Drying time at 15 °C: 45 minutes (dust dry)
Overcoating time at 15 °C: min. 10 hours

Can be applied to most antifoulings provided they are in good condition. Not to be used in combination with VC17m or PTFE-containing antifoulings.

For coated surfaces

In good condition: Remove fouling, impurities and paint residues completely and then sand wet with 80-120 grit sandpaper (not dry!). If existing antifouling is not compatible or unknown, seal with suitable barrier coat.
In poor condition: Use Interstrip to remove all antifouling residues.

GRP/Blank gelcoat: Make sure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free and in a generally good condition. Use Thinner No. 3 for degreasing. Coat the surface to be treated with Gelschield 200 (osmosis protection) or Primocon. Then apply two coats of MICRON 300. Renew every season.

Wood: Make sure that the surface is clean, dry as well and dust-free and in generally good condition. Use Thinner No. 3 for degreasing. Prime with Interprotect or Primocon. Then apply two coats of MICRON 300. Renew every season.

Steel/lead: Make sure the surface is clean, dry, dust-free and in a generally good condition. Use Thinner No. 3 for degreasing. Prime with Interprotect or Primocon. Then apply two coats of MICRON 300. Renew every season.

Not suitable for use on aluminium or galvanised surfaces.

Antifouling in Travemünde

For me, this has been the best antifouling for use in Travemünde for years.

Very effective antifouling

I have been using this product for years. In the autumn, the underwater hull is completely free of barnacles, unlike the metal parts, which are otherwise stuck everywhere, and is very easy to clean with a high-pressure cleaner.
