Highly effective, powerful antifouling with effective protection from organisms such as algae. Suitable for professional and non-professional use on ships in fresh and salt water. The hard, abrasion resistant surface provides protection for up to one year. ULTRA 300 is suitable for polishing to obtain a smoother surface for less friction in the water and can be scrubbed and cleaned as required. Ideal for fast motor boats. Yield: 10 m²/l.
Processing instructions
Technical Data
- Processing temperature: +5° C to +35° C
- Drying time at 15 °C: 45 minutes (dust dry)
- Overcoating time at 15 °C: min. 10 hours
Can be applied to most antifoulings provided they are in good condition. Not to be used in combination with VC17m or PTFE-containing antifoulings.
For coated surfaces
- In good condition: Remove all fouling, contamination and paint residue and then wet sand with 80-120 grit sandpaper (do not dry!). If the old antifouling is incompatible or unknown, seal with a suitable barrier coat.
- In poor condition: Use Interstrip to remove any antifouling residue from the surface to be coated.
GRP/Blank gelcoat: Degrease the surface with Thinner No. 3. Clean well and allow to dry. Coat the surface to be treated with Gelshield 200 (osmosis protection) or with Primocon. Then apply two coats of ULTRA 300. Renew every 12 months.
Wood: Degrease the surface with Thinner No. 3. Clean well and allow to dry. Prime the substrate with Interprotect or Primocon. Then apply two coats of ULTRA 300. Renew every 12 months.
Steel/lead: Degrease the surface with Thinner No. 3. Clean well and allow to dry. Prime the substrate with Interprotect or Primocon. Then apply two coats of ULTRA 300. Renew every 12 months.
Not suitable for use on aluminium or galvanised surfaces.
