General characteristics of the KUS SEA V-Series
The instrument housings in this series are protected according to IP 67, which means they are dust-proof and waterproof to a depth of one meter. With double-walled glass, which provides excellent protection against fogging. Installation is very easy: Simply insert from the front through the 85 mm drill hole and secure from the rear with a union nut. Electrical connection using multi-connectors. All instruments are back lit. Choose between red and yellow back lighting. Designed for 12 volt operation. Use a series resistor to also operate in 24 volt systems. The black gauge is supplied with a black plastic cover, the white with a white cover. Covers can be easily exchanged. Operating range from approx. -40 C to +80 C.
Connect to terminal "W" on the alternator.

Good day, 400 RPM Tachometer is not working. Two days ago we took new tachometer which we received from you and we try to connect to 24v (as stated in instruction manual - gauge can be connected to 12VDC or 24VDC). There is no any sign of power. Its still fully pack. Please advice what to do. Thanks in advance.

Hello Zala, Please check that the cables are connected correctly. As you can read in the instructions, ground is blue and not black as usual. If wired correctly and still does not work, please send an e-mail to [email protected].

I can not get this thing to operate properly. I’m trying to mate it with Yanmar 3HM35. Connected according to the instruction, which came with the unit. When the engine is started at idle (roughly 500 rpm), tacho readings immediately go to 4000 rpm, which is complete nonsense. Entering the setup regime and decreasing the ratio from 10.0 to 1.0 does not change anything. When the engine is stopped, the readings go to 0, which indicates some kind of sensitivity to the tacho sensor. The sensor is checked to provide a nice meander of 0 to 12 V. The frequency at idle is approx 1kHz. Changing engine rotation speed does not change the readings. I want a good advice or my money back.
