Basically, the pump itself does what it is supposed to do: pump water.
The hose supplied is actually a nice idea, but not suitable for this pump. Why? First, the pump pumps water into the hose, which gets longer, then as soon as you open the nozzle, the hose contracts again - so far so good - none of this would be a problem if the pump's hysteresis wasn't so great that the hose is almost completely empty before the pump starts up again. This means that the hose changes length significantly during use.
In short, the developer has evidently never used the pump in this set himself.

On the subject of the pressure gauge, this broke after a week of very sporadic use -- water drips out slowly at first and then faster and faster, slowly filling the bilge with salt water. Our solution was to install a blind plug instead of the pressure gauge. -- we are in contact with SVB - unfortunately communication is very slow.
