Rubber boots are designed to keep your feet dry in wet weather – and they fulfill that function. I wore these boots for a day, unfortunately with socks that weren't as high as the boot shaft. As a result, the boot shaft rubbed against my bare calves, and the hard, inelastic edge of the boot chafed both calves. It took about two weeks for the cuts to heal even halfway.

Conclusion: Either wear them only with knee-high socks or choose a different brand.
