MARSILI hydraulic cylinders There are no complaints about the functionality, everything was very good. Since the two-part counter bearing is a cast part, the holes are not symmetrical. So when installing, always place the counter bearing in the position where it is to be attached and mark it.

Product details

This high-class hydraulic steering system is made with careful attention to detail and features modern technology without compromise on material specification and operating pressures. The hydraulic system consitsts of two parts: the helm and the cylinder. The helm is an axial piston pump, with small pistons inside, which are directly actuated by the steering wheel. The double-acting cylinder is mounted on a base allowing it to swing according to the arc described by the rudder tiller. All parts are manufactured to the highest standards and of the best materials, for long service life, corrosion resistance and operating efficiency. Installation is very easy; you only have to connect the pump to the cylinder by means of copper, steel or nylon hoses. Upgrading your hydraulic steering system to power steering or autopilot is possible with equipment available in our webshop. To select your control system, choose the cylinder you need (depending on your type of vessel or the required rudder torque) and the corresponding hydraulic pump. Relevant calculation documents are available.

Note: Brass cylinders are internal cylinders and should be not be installed outside the boat.

Produktdokumentation mangelhaft
Lieder fehlen (mal wieder) relevante Informationen zum Produkt. "Mal wieder" weil meine Erfahrung ist, dass bei vielen italienischen Hersteller an dieser Stelle ein Schwachpunkt besteht, hier sind z.B. US-Hersteller wesentlich kundenorientierter.

Konkret fehlen zum Zylinder folgende Informationen
1. viele Abmessungen sind in der Zeichnung nicht enthalten (z.B. Durchmesser und Längen einzelner Bauteile, was wichtig ist, um den erforderlichen Bauraum einschätzen zu können)
2. Elemente des Zylinders Wozu sind die kleinen Anschlüsse? Wozu ist die Madenschraube?
3. Inbetriebnahme Wie befüllt man den Zylinder richtig? Wie entlüfte ich das Ding am besten?
4. Zusatzkomponenten Gibt es z.B. gewinkelte Anschlüsse? Sowas wäre in meinem Fall wichtig.
5. Was für Anschlüsse sind das überhaupt? Gewindeformat, Bezeichnung, Kompatibilitäten, etc.

Nachdem auf der Website von SVB außer der lückenhaften Zeichnung keinerlei Infos zu finden sind, hätte ich erwartet, dass zumindest in der Packung hinreichende Dokumentationen dieser Art mitgeliefert werden. Leider Fehlanzeige.
Genauso, wie die Marsili-Website, wo übrigens auch keine Reaktion auf mehrfache Nachfrage einer Abmessung kam (ok, die konnte ich nun selbst nachmessen).
Nun liegt es (mal wieder) an mir, diesen Basisinformationen hinterher zu laufen, wobei schon absehbar ist, dass das Problem weniger bei SVB liegt (ich bin sicher, dass ich hier wie immer auf sehr guten Support stoßen werde), sondern an der Quelle. Im Moment hätte ich gute Lust, das Ding allein deshalb zurück zu schicken.
