Chrome mushroom vent
The size was ideal for replacing the part on a Gruben FAM pump. The original opening could be used; only the five holes needed to be redrilled due to the different spacing.

I like that it's mostly made of metal, with only the sealing ring mounting ring being plastic.

Satisfied but...
Visually it's nice, but after two months of assembly, some rust spots are starting to appear. The stainless steel is very thin and feels a bit flimsy. The price is good compared to brands like Vetus, but I'm not sure if it's better to pay a little more and forget about it in a couple of years. We'll see how it ages.

Its a ventilation cowl, you don't need to use it on boats....
Excellent quality materials and manufacturing, my only negative comment would be that ideally the top could do with being slightly larger in diameter so that when it's screwed down to within close proximity of the base (to prevent water ingress, rain) that the gap remaining around the perimeter could do with being greater. Problem is that if you raise the cowl, yes the air flow is increased but the likelihood of water ingress increases.
