Product details

Wireless wind display system with NASA Clipper display and NMEA0183 output. The included data box is mounted below deck and powered via the 12V on-board electrical system. Via a cable connection, the receiver can then pass on the wind direction and wind speed data to a NASA Clipper or another NMEA0183-compatible display.
The mast unit is supplied with electricity by a solar cell. Once fully loaded (after about 150 hours in bright sunlight), the battery pack will guarantee an operating time of up to 2000 hours or 15,000 hours in standby mode.

Works excellently. The accuracy of the wind angle is due to the display's low resolution, but it's still acceptable.

Hello, does the product show true wind when connected to a GPS or a log device via NMEA0183?

No it does not, this model shows apparent wind speed and direction only. You can order the 'True Clipper wireless wind' from SVB though.
