Works well Was actually only intended as an emergency solution for the rest of the season and because I didn't want to pull a new cable through the mast. And maybe because of a nostalgic touch... 25 years ago had a whole series of targets on an X. It was extremely easy to install (the connection diagram for the target can also be found in one of the two enclosed booklets... with a drawing even) and the best thing is that you can use a converter to translate the NMEA0183 data into the NMEA2k network and the autopilot Wind can be controlled - so not just an additional display as described above. Now just stays in the boat and is no longer exchanged!

Product details

Wireless wind indicator system with NASA Target display and NMEA0183 output. The included databox is mounted below deck and runs on the 12 V on-board power supply. The receiver can relay wind direction and wind speed data to a NASA Target or other NMEA0183-enabled display via a cable connection.
The mast unit is supplied with power via a solar cell. Fully charged (charging time < 150 hours bright daylight), the battery provides up to 2000 hours of operation or 15000 hours in standby.

The product is only an English. description at. That wouldn't be so bad if the instructions didn't describe the Clipper instrument instead of the Target2 instrument Connections, colors are completely different! Even worse that only the computer answers the complaint, after a week there is still no reasonable answer!!
