Product details

150 kHz replacement transducer for all NASA sounders (TARGET, CLIPPER and Stingray series), and for all older SEAFARER sounders. This unit comes supplied with a 6.5 m connection cable and connector plug. Threaded shaft length: 83 mm, thread diameter: 16 mm, "head"-Ø: 38 mm, "head" length: 21 mm, total length: 104 mm. In addition, we recommend the in-hull transducer fitting.

Please note: Use the hull transducer only in combination with a protector for transducers.

Our tips for proper assembly of this unit:

First of all, the display unit has to be powered on and connected to the transducer. Next, hold the transducer inside a water-filled plastic bag on the hull until a stable depth reading is achieved. Now, the transducer can be mounted in that exact place. However, if no stable depth reading can be achieved, you should choose a thru-hull assembly instead.

Material defects

the thread including the shaft seems to be made of inferior material, has already replaced the 3rd transducer in 3 years The plastic dissolves by itself, simply crumbles away. Use alternating fresh water and salt water, breakthrough assembly with boat according to instructions. Last try next year.

For 50€ more you get the set with depth sounder display

Rarely seen such a bad quality and that for 80 €. I bought the set with an advertisement and a boat. Everything installed correctly and finally put on the transducer HANDFEST, but it is still broken. Now I had to order a new one for € 86 including shipping. Ordering another product now that the holes are in the boat is not possible. I will not use such a device again.

Unfortunately the sensor is not working. It was stated in the product description that the sensor is also suitable for the Seaparer (501), this is not apparent. It is of course also possible that the seafarer is broken, but I can not only order a NASA depth sounder without a sensor (I already have one). Waste of money
