Technical question

Hi there, I would like to renew the anti-slip stripes on 16-year-old Etap 34S (all Etaps are originally built with such stripes). The real reason for doing that is not that the stripes have lost their grip, but because their color has turned too dark, which leads to extra heating of the deck (I should have said that my sailing area is the Greek waters). So my question is: should I completely remove the old anti-slip stripes or I could just cover them with white-colored INTERDECK Non-Slip Topcoat (https://www.svb24.com/en/international-interdeck-non-slip-topcoat.html), i.e. just to re-paint the deck? Any practical advice would be highly appreciated!

Dear customer, it is advised to completely remove the old ones before insalling the new ones. Thanks.
