fulfills its purpose This replaces the existing vent valve from the plumbing system on our ninety-nine-year-old sewer pipe. We should have made this replacement 25 years ago. Would we order it again? Probably not. It will serve its purpose for many years to come.

Apart from the fact that the bend is not quite 180 degrees, the product is OK.
If you want/have to place a gooseneck in tight corners with this "not quite 180 degree bend", then it can be tight. That's why you should take a close look at the space available beforehand, because the inlets are "wide-legged" and semi-slanted from the bend and a sewage hose cannot really be described as flexible. So it can be a pretty stubborn, wide-legged structure.

I have a self contained vented 38mm loop with no pipe leading from it venting over board. Is this unit the same, or does a vent tube have to be added?
