The Black Magic Hi-Load Block from Harken is a powerful high-load block for demanding sailing applications. Thanks to high-quality roller bearings, the block operates particularly smoothly and ensures efficient power transmission even under high loads.
The robust design with aluminium sheave and sturdy side plates offers an optimum ratio of weight, strength and durability. The swivelling shackle allows flexible alignment of the block and ensures clean line guidance.
The block is ideal for applications such as mainsheet, halyards, runners or other heavily loaded trim lines on dinghies, sports boats and yachts.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
