The Harken Black Magic Stand-Up Block Hi-Load is a high-performance high-load block designed for demanding sailing applications. The high-quality Torlon® roller bearings ensure a particularly smooth and low-friction operation – even under high loads.
The robust aluminium construction provides an optimal balance of weight and stability. Thanks to the stand-up mounting, the block always remains in an upright position and ensures clean and efficient line guidance on deck.
Ideal for sheets, halyards, backstays and other heavily loaded trim lines on dinghies, sports boats and yachts.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
