The Harken Carbo Ratchamatic Block HTE is a sturdy high-load block with an integrated Ratchamatic system – ideal for demanding trim and control lines on board. The combination of lightweight Carbo composite construction and low-friction ball bearings ensures extremely smooth operation and efficient power transfer.
Thanks to the integrated Ratchamatic mechanism, the line can be securely locked in predefined positions – ideal for recurring adjustments on sheets, halyards, or backstays. The sturdy block construction guarantees long-lasting reliability in heavily loaded operating conditions.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
