The Harken Black Magic Loop Block is a compact and high-performance high-load block designed for demanding sailing applications. Its high-quality sheave bearing ensures exceptionally smooth operation and efficient power transfer, even under heavy loads.
Thanks to its robust aluminium construction and practical loop attachment, the block can be mounted flexibly while keeping weight to a minimum. Ideal for sheets, halyards, and other highly loaded control lines on dinghies, sport boats, and yachts.

Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:

Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
